The winner of The Big One Giveaway is officially our blog’s first family of 2012…and fittingly so! I’m not going to preface these images by a lengthy description of the session. I simply want this family to stand out…to feel special and know that they are the stars of the show. Much love to the DB.-C. Family.
What better images to blog than a beach session on Christmas Eve Day? It makes me think of warm sand between my toes and the sun on my hair…warm breezes and the murmur of the waves. Feeling warm now?
The Guerra Family was back! They are all working actors and frequently need to update their headshots. They also wanted to get some family shots for their holiday cards. When L requested to shoot at the beach, I loved the idea – what a great representation of Southern California and the whole “Hollywood” persona!
Yes, you read that title right. I purposely scheduled this blog post for December, even though the session took place in early September. The thing is, as I write this, it is crazy hot here in Santa Clarita and I wanted to be able to look at these warm, fun images when I am shivering and have my heat blaring to warm me and remind me that summer will soon be here again. Just a little touch of summertime in the winter. Meet the L Family…
I met the L Family, a young couple and their dog, at Hart Park prepared to explore. We actually did quite a bit of light hiking because this puppy was ready to run and have a great time.
I just realized that I haven’t posted black and white images for a while and I just love pets in black and white, so…
One big happy family. Those are the words that come to mind when I think of the L Family. Though this family has 4 kids 5 and younger, you’d never know it to look at Mom and Dad. Personally, I loved their go-with-the-flow attitude and the obvious happiness that their kids felt because of it. It was such a pleasure to photograph this clan and capture their youthfulness, fun-loving personalities, and genuine adoration for each other.
I had so much fun with the F Family! I loved their fun-loving personalities, energy, and obvious closeness. Dad wasn’t able to join us until the end of the session, but we had lots of fun awaiting his arrival. We climbed trees, played on the playground, and even danced. The best part of the location we chose that day, Valencia Glen Park, was that all of the trees were in bloom and they were almost the exact same color as the girls’ dresses – awesome!
I have known Vanessa since our days at Saugus High School, but it’s been years since we’ve seen each other. I love that I had the pleasure of photographing these two gorgeous sisters (and they were all about blowing bubbles)!
They are planning on using the photos as holiday gifts for family members.
Yesterday marked the official launch of CristenFarrellPhotography.com. I am so very grateful for the positive response and numerous emails of interest I have received. Thank you so much to my friends, family, and clients for making the launch such a huge success!
And huge congrats go to the winners of my Facebook and Twitter contest winners: Lori Ann V., Vanessa M., Jessica D., and Mike M. They are the lucky winners of a free session (valued at $195). Of course, photos to follow!
