Bridgeport Marketplace has a lot to offer for family, child, engagement, headshot, and pretty much any type of natural light portrait photo session you can think of, all at an unlikely location.
Although Bridgeport Marketplace is technically a shopping center (anchored by California Pizza Kitchen and Valley Produce Market) and it is known for it’s duck pond, what often goes unnoticed is the hardscaping and landscaping. This locations boasts gorgeous, modern fountains, stone planters and walkways landscaped with lush and colorful plants and flowers, and eclectic, colorful buildings and patios with unique wrought iron fences.
The duck pond itself is a great feature, although I prefer to use it only in the time just before sunset when the light hits it just right. Kids can watch and feed the ducks either on the many benches around the pond or on the boardwalk / bridge with it’s gorgeous old-fashioned street lamps.
