Valencia Glen Park is a great location for a family photo session or a headshot session.
In my opinion, one of the greatest features of the original Valencia neighborhoods is access to the paseos, which also connect to many of the parks. The paseos are lush, winding walkways with huge old trees and mature green foliage, all connected by uniquely-styled bridges. As you wander the paseos, the landscape changes from area to area, boasting small cozy spots to sit and wide open grassy areas.
Valencia Glen just happens to intersect many of these paseos, which makes it the perfect spot for photo sessions. When meeting clients at Valencia Glen, I often wander the paseos with them, making the paseos an adventure game for their kids; I’m pretty sure that I find at least one new, interesting spot every time. In addition, the park itself, including the play area, is a great place for casual, fun photos, all while being easily accessible from two different sides and major cross streets (McBean Parkway & Orchard Village).
Another great thing about this park is that it photographs great at any time of the day. The large, mature trees allow for lots of shade, even during the middle of the day. The morning and late afternoon hours are particularly pretty, as the sun rises and sets through the grassy meadow.
